The Kureman Army prior to its modernization consisted mainly of foot soldiers who guarded the mountains of Kurema. They were adept at mountain warfare, using the terrain to their advantage to place their enemies on unfavorable grounds. Despite this, the army was largely unfamiliar with fighting on any other terrain, limiting their effectiveness in the case of an invasion.
The army commonly employed spears and tower shields, large shields that protected the user from head to toe when held in front in order to force the enemy into tight spaces. They were especially known for their repeating crossbows, capable of firing ten rounds in fifteen seconds.
